Rhone & Chateauneuf du Pape
[Celliers de Princes]

 Cotes du RhoneRhone
In terms of grape variety, the Rhone divides neatly into two - the Syrah-dominated North and the Grenache-influenced south. It's red wines are rich and spicy and some world class whites are now being produced.

Chateauneuf-du-Pape
The name dates from the dual Papacy in the 14th century. At their best these wines are some of the finest in the world. The steady decline of the traditionally dominant Grenache has speeded up as more growers are convinced of the worth of the Syrah and Mourvedre grapes. The AOC regulations here are very strict.

Our producer - Celliers de Princes - makes exquisite Rhones and Chateauneuf-du-Pape.
